Adding a Video to your event description

Transcript

Welcome to Timely Video Tutorials.
Today we’ll show you how to add a video to your event description. Let’s get started.

Timely is compatible with video platforms that provide embed codes, including YouTube and Vimeo For this tutorial, we’ll use YouTube as an example.

  1. Open YouTube in your browser and find the video you want to embed on your event page.
  2. Click Share, then select Embed.

Copy the iframe code provided. Next, go to your Timely dashboard, and click Add Event at the top.

On the right panel,

Scroll to the event Description section.
Click the Source Code icon.

Then paste the YouTube iframe code where you’d like the video to appear.

You need to adjust the width and height sizes. We recommend setting them to 520 by 480 pixels for a balanced look, but you can also choose different values if they work better for your event details layout.

Continue editing your event with other necessary details.

Once everything looks good, click Publish to make your event live.

To preview, visit your public calendar.
You should now see the YouTube video embedded on the event page.
