Welcome to Timely Video Tutorials.
Today we’ll show you how to create single-day, multi-day, and recurring events in your Timely calendar.
Let’s get started.
From your Timely dashboard, click Events in the left-hand menu.
Then go to the Add Events section on the right.
To create a one-day event:
Set the start and end date to the same day.
Then, either:
- Choose a start time and end time,
- Mark it as an all-day event with no specific times,
- Or mark it as no end time to show only a start time.
To create a multi-day event, choose a start date and an end date that spans more than one day and then select the times as mentioned before.
To create a recurring event, you need to first set the start and end date and time of the first event recurrence. This will be the first occurrence of your event. For example, a class that starts on September 1 from 11am to 12pm.
Then scroll to the Repeats section to set the recurrence rules.
You can choose between Custom, Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly.
- Choose Custom to pick specific dates from the calendar
- Daily, if the event happens every day or every few days.
- Weekly, if it repeats on specific weekdays.
- Monthly, if it happens every month,
- or Yearly, if it happens every year.
If you’d like, you can also set an end date for your recurrence.
By default, all occurrences appear on your calendar.
To show only the upcoming event in the series, check Display recurring event only once.
To skip specific dates, like holidays, use the Exclude option.
Select the dates you want to remove from the recurrence pattern. Here you can also use a pattern to set excludes or custom options, to select specific exclude dates.
Please note that Single Day, Multi-Day, All-Day, and Recurring Events each display differently on the public calendar.
That’s it! You’ve now learned how to create one-day, multi-day, and recurring events in Timely.
