Welcome to Timely Video Tutorials.
Today, we’ll show you how to add images to your event filters in Timely.
Filter images make your event listings more visually engaging and help keep your calendar’s look consistent.
Let’s get started!
From the left-hand menu, click Filters.
Timely comes with a set of standard filters, and several of them support images, including Categories, Venues, and Organizers.
First, let’s add images to Categories.
Click Add Item to cr eate a new category, or use the search tool to find an existing one and click Edit.
On the right-hand panel, locate the Image section.
You can choose an image from the Media Library, or click Upload to add a new one from your computer.
If you’re uploading a new image, select the file, add alternative text for accessibility, then click Save to confirm the image.
Finally, click Save again to save the category.
Category images act as the default image for events in that category. They are used automatically whenever an event doesn’t have its own featured image.
Next, let’s add images to venues.
From the left-hand menu, click Filters, then select Venues.
Click Add Item to create a new venue, or use the search tool to find an existing one and click Edit.
In the Image section, select an image from the Media Library or click Upload to add a new file.
Again, if uploading a new image, add alternative text and click Save to confirm the image.
Complete the venue details, then click Save.
Venue images appear on event posts associated with that venue, helping attendees quickly recognize the event location.
Finally, let’s add images to organizers.
From the left-hand menu, click Filters, then select Organizers.
Click Add Item to create a new organizer, or use the search tool to find an existing one and click Edit.
Add an image from the Media Library or click Upload to add a new file.
Same as before, if you’re uploading a new image, add alternative text, and click Save.
Complete the remaining organizer details, then, click Save to save the organizer.
Organizer images appear on event posts associated with that organizer, helping attendees identify who is hosting the event.
