Minimum Server Requirements for your WordPress Timely Calendar
The Timely calendar has the same server requirements as WordPress.
In addition, we require WordPress 3.7 or greater. The Timely Calendar works with most versions of WordPress, but some versions (including WordPress 3.6) have known issues.
Performance Enhancements
We suggest using Varnish Cache to improve performance, but it's not necessary. If you're using shared hosting solutions, this could be costly. Instead, install a caching plugin such as W3 Total Cache. This will help reduce calls to the server.
Memory Requirements
You may run WordPress and only the Core calendar on a server with as low as 32MB of memory. This does not account for any other plugins you have, or any customizations you may have made. If you wish to run WordPress with the Core and about 4 plugins, we recommend 64MB. Most sites have many more plugins than this, and for this we recommend 128MB or more.
To learn how to increase your PHP memory limit, please follow these instructions from the WordPress Codex. Note: Your host may have locked down changes to PHP memory allocation. If you find your attempts are ineffective, please contact your hosting provider to increase the PHP memory limit.
Increased memory needs in some situations
We provide a Theme Options page where you can customize the colours and fonts for almost all areas of the calendar. This is a powerful tool, but when these options are changed, the CSS compilation temporarily requires more memory than is typical for most plugins. You may notice memory spikes when these theme options are saved, when you update the plugin, or when a new add-on is activated.

Note: For users of older versions of Internet Explorer, while we try to keep the calendar functioning properly in those browsers, some site visitors may experience issues.
